We don't know what we don't notice, and as you saw from the examples above every decision we make comes with a judgement we make about ourselves along with it.
Shame only lives in the dark, and we live in a time where struggling in silence is more of the norm than we'd like to admit. So if you can't notice the problem, and the problem keeps you isolated it's the hamster wheel of suffering.
And the straw that broke the camels back is that this continues for generations. Not only do the problems keep us captive but marketing and media prey on the very things we are too shameful to talk about. Little girls learn about their limits before they learn how to celebrate their strength.

I've never played by the rules. My father says my lack of filter is my best and my worst quality. I'm still challenged regularly that my directness somehow translates to agression. Let's just say I've heard a lot of things about myself over the years and to that I say, I could not care less. Life is a grand experiment in an ever changing world with obstacles like banana peels in Mario Kart. I'm just doing my best, helping people along the way, loving my people fully, and usually with a glass of wine in hand.
